Description

In the Broadway cemetery, Peterborough is the tomb of 'The Lonely Anzac'.

The Lonely Anzac is in fact Sgt Thomas Hunter, a member of the 10th Battalion of the 10th Division of the Australian Army, who died from his war wounds in Peterborough on 31 July 1916; the only ANZAC to be buried in the United Kingdom.
